My friend and I see Rush everytime they come to Houston. They always play here and I am beginning to wonder why. I agree with all the negative reviews regarding the security here. She drove in from Austin for the show. We saw an opportunity to sneak down to the pit, so we acted on it. Another patron tattled on us to security. Security approached me and asked for my ticket, I didn't have a pit ticket so I left right away. He then went to my friend who was standing in front of me, and jerked her arm from the back (she was facing the stage). Her first reaction on was to pull away because she didn't know who was grabbing her. She pulled away and told him to stop touching her and this escalated so quickly, that he called security, had her escorted out of the pavilion, into a secure area where the cops proceeded to arrest her for disorderly conduct, and took her to the Montgomery County jail where she spent the night. They REFUSED to let her call me to or even text me to say what was happening but thank goodness I witnessed all this and was following them. She didn't know I was behind her and was begging them just to let her call me. When 2 women are traveling to a concert together from out of town, what is the purpose of them refusing to let the other know what is going on???? She refuses to ever attend another concert here again now, and I agree. I am so glad I don't live in the Woodlands or Conroe. The security are way too extreme at this venue. Just a word of warning, you better be on your best behaivor or you could get thrown out like she did. Maybe if the scalpers didn't get all the good tickets over and over, people wouldn't be so pissed about the crappy tickets they have to buy. Also, they need new caterers in the vip and hospitality suites. WHO else serves 9.00 nachos with ground beef and canned cheese sauce ONLY!!! No salsa, no nothing else. I asked for jalapenos and they said they just ran out 5 min. ago. (at 6 pm!) What a joke! I'm a caterer and if I treated my customers like that , I wouldn't last very long. Why can't Spectrum catering order enough lousy jalapenos that are canned anyway. Go to HEB and get more if you run out, or borrow some from the pavilion caterers. That is what I would have done. Even the nachos at the Circus were better, in fact they were really good. Also, if you want a decent parking spot its 15.00, and even that lot of nearly full by 6 pm. If they are so concerned about security they should focus more on checking peoples bags at the door. I could have snuck anything I wanted in there. From now on when Rush comes to TX we are going to San Antonio.
