Review content:
Tiny restaurant dishing out fresh and high quality meals. I tried the roast beef sandwich and it was pretty good, but the real draw is the mofongo which is served on Fri, Sat, and Sun. I'd never tried it before but I can't believe it could be better anywhere else. The rice and fried plantain mixture provides a great texture along with the herbs, spices, and sauce. I've tried the shrimp and the chicken and while the chicken was great, I gotta say the shrimp is the way to go. The only downside is that it takes a loong time to get your food at lunch. They say it's because every dish is cooked fresh, but 45 minutes for a sandwich and 40 minutes for the mofongo is a killer if you've only got an hour for lunch break, and if you've only got 30 minutes don't go. Better to call ahead and get it 2 go if you gotta go back to work. The prices are excellent and this is one of the best places to go in South Beach.
