I took my BMW into JustBMW for service recently. Yes, there were many repairs needed but the primary concerns I had were a leaky power steering and the steering wheel would shake. The guys identified the power steering problem and suggested a new steering rack and tie rods. They then went on to suggest several other items they found on closer inspection, including engine belts, sensors, etc... I took them at their word and $2,000+ later, I picked up the car. The shaking steering wheel was never repaired. In fact, it was worse than when I dropped off the car. They did note on the service order, ""Possible steering column U-joints seizing, Possible strut issues, Car is not safe."" Sorry guys, but that was disappointing and not what I expected. Thanks for fixing the steering leak but shame on you for not identifying the the shaking steering wheel cause. So, I took the car to the BMW Store to have the steering wheel vibration checked. They immediately identified a front break caliper was seizing, causing the steering wheel to shake. The caliper was replaced and the car now drives great. Thank you BMW Store! I think I will stay with the dealership for service in the future.
