I got lost in downtown Raleigh yesterday! When I saw this place with its ""hot plates"" sign on the window, I knew I had fallen into something. Talked my office into ""exploring"" with me today. This is a place you would not ordinarily stop at. It says ""ICE MARKET"" on the sign. This place is as good as it gets! We had an amazing lunch of steak sandwiches, homemade french fries and homemade pound cake today. Reasonable and delicious. I polled the many customers in the place and they were all regulars and said I could not go wrong with anything. The hot plates included beef tips and rice, chicken and pastry, chicken salad, country style steak, etc and all came with two sides! The prices were ALL UNDER $6.50!!!!! The selection for lunch and breakfast was just like being back home on the farm where I was raised. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a great hot lunch at an affordable price served from nice people!
