Worst consumer experience of my life!! Technician/owner(?) Abass quoted me a total price of $29. total fee to smog my jetta and get the smog certificate. Red Flag #1- an offer sounds too good to be true. Drove down to his shed and was surprised (Red Flag #2) that I was his only customer. I was happy thinking that I'd get in and out quickly, but Abass had me wait while he went outside for a smoke and spent the next 10 minutes talking with a bunch of (Red Flag#3) hoodlum looking men. I was getting up to leave, when Abass came back in and said that he could hook my car up now and it would only take 15 minutes. I waited while my car was smogged and after it passed, Abbas claimed that he'd had to fix something to make it pass and would be charging me ""only $30. more"". Big Red Rip off Alarm!!! When I balked at paying for work that I hadn't approved or even been privy to, he threatened to withhold my smog certificate!!! He basically blackmailed me into paying double what he'd quoted. He was very loud and irrational in his arguing with me, and I only paid after his creepy entourage appeared all around me. Needless to say, I hightailed it out of there feeling scared and violated! I told my boyfriend who made a complaint with the better business bureau who had already received multiple complaints!! No idea how this guy is still in business! He's a real predator!!
