I really want Ristorante Marcellino to be excellent, but it is only ""good."" It has the potential, but standard dishes like Pasta Aglio Olio are often re-interpreted by the chef from meal to meal. When I visited Marcellino for the fifth time, I ordered a mixed green salad that, when it arrived, was clearly Iceburg lettuce mixed with bits of radicchio. I also had the aforementioned pasta dish. Instead of receiving the comfortably spicey/garlic pasta I'd enjoyed in the past, I broke a sweat trying to eat the over-peppered concoction.
Marcellino doesn't fall completely short, though. It boasts an intimate dining area that isn't so closely packed as to make you feel like you're eavesdropping on your neighbors' conversation, and there's parking.
Pros: great ambience, good parking, not crowded
