Review content:
I have heard good things from contractors about Lumbermen's, so I gave them 3 stars... otherwise my personal experience has been quite poor. I am a woman, but I am also a customer, and I expect to be treated in a manner that would encourage me to come back... I definitely was not. It took quite sometime for an employee to come to the counter to help me find the windows I was looking for...then I was sent on a goose chase to the back room, then out to the back "yard" area, then back to the back room, only then to find out that they didn't carry this size of window. On another occasion, I purchases smaller items and while checking out I had a young lady who sat talking on the phone while she rang up my door handles and misc items. No polite conversation, no did you find everything you were looking for, no greeting when I walked into the door. Also it did not seem like things were very organized...the left hand didn't know the items or prices in the right hand. I found the store not at all welcoming or the staff well organized or educated about their particular store products. They were educated in building materials in general, but not in what they carried in the store itself. I had a much more pleasant experience at the nearby Lowe's, and will NOT be returning to Lumbermen's.
