Review content:
A bad Pixie cut in the 70's left me with life long hair trauma, so a trip to the salon is like a trip to the dentist for me. Seriously. And, as a result, I've had a horrible time finding a hair place to call home. (I know, I know - I don't need a salon, I need a therapist.) But I think I just found one. A friend of mine recommended a guy named Chris at Crowned Studio in Old Town and, with the holidays approaching and my hair looking wretched, I made an appointment. Well, I saw Chris last night and he truly was amazing. The salon itself is warm and inviting and Chris is just amazing. He set me at ease immediately, gave me great advice and, honestly, it was a joy to watch him work. He was really fast, with zero b.s., and I am extremely happy with my hair. I was in and out in 30 minutes, which made me VERY happy and - the best part of all - for the first time in my adult life, I actually look forward to going back! Seriously. So this review is for all the shy people out there, who hate the salon experience. Go see Chris, at Crowned Studio. He's a pro - and a genuinely nice guy. I think I'm going to cry.
Pros: Friendly, warm, fast.
Cons: Traffic, parking.
