Review content:
With all of the murders, violence and drugs in Camden, you would THINK that the Camden Police Officers would be concerned about the crime, murders and drug dealers and would work to pursue the true criminals and protect the public. Well, to my disbelief, I was approached by Camden Police Officer Caroline Dona while standing in front of a store looking at shoes. I was just about to enter the store to purchase a pair of shoes for my daughter for her prom, when Officer Dona approached me and asked me if I had ID. I asked why and then she pointed to yellow caution tape at the start of the side walk and said the sidewalk was closed. HOWEVER, the store was OPEN for business. She then gave me a citation for obstructing the sidewalk, which is RIDICULOUS! The workers were WAY far away from where I was standing and I came to the store from the OTHER side of the road, where there was NO signs or caution tape. I was EXTREMLY offended and told the African American officer that she was CLEARLY prejudiced against me for being white because there were NUMEROUS African American walking down the sidewalk and she singled ME out, but not them. I also ripped the ridiculous ticket in half when she handed it to me. So, apparently after I left, she then wrote ANOTHER ticket for innapropriate behavior. I FULLY intend to fight this and involve the Media, Freeholders, Governor, Attorney General, Internal Affairs, ect. However, as for my REVIEW of the CAMDEN POLICE DEPARTMENT, they are TERRIBLE. They cite innocent people while letting true criminals roam the streets. They allow a VERY predujudiced offer to write FRIVILOUS citations to people who are law abiding citizens, meanwhile someone is getting murdered in Camden while they are citing people for going to a store to shop. That's what are taxes are paying for in Camden. With police like that, is it any WONDER why Camden is bad and full of murders and drugs?
