Review content:
I came here after being disgusted by the ""Boston Tropical Fish and Reptile"" store. This Petco is great, but be warned: the odor when you first walk in is a bit overwhelming. I mean, it smells like a pet store, thats all. The fish section was suprisingly clean, and they had a pretty good selection of fish. The tanks are divided into three sections: community, unique etc, and marine. This certainly makes things a bit easier for the average aquarium hobbyist versus the common chaos of fish/tank placement in many other stores. I've really only dealt with one employee there, and his name is Edwin. The guy knows his stuff. He answered all of my questions, and helped me find the right products to get my tank back up and running. The cashier told me he's got a pretty impressive collection of tanks and other animals at home so I get the impression he's pretty into pets. I guess the only downside of this place is that the ""unique"" fish they had theyre really weren't too unique, and some really cool fish that I find common in independent NJ (where I'm from) stores were missing from this store. Edwin mentioned the names of some other stores in MA that have some sick fish selections though (which I forget), so you might as well pop in and ask. Pros: Accessory selection was good, great service. Clean! Cons: Selection of fish could be better.
