I get all of my ink from Mike Thurman at Stay True Tattoo on 23rd Street. My first experience with them was on a Saturday night about 3 years ago, around 11pm. I was itching for a specific tattoo that I had wanted for a long, long time. Suddenly, I couldn't wait any longer. I called Stay True, and they were open. (I knew nothing about this shop, and I knew I was taking a chance.) Mike answered the phone and was friendly, professional, polite, and extremely kind. He mentioned that they would be closing soon, but he could tell that I really wanted my tattoo, and he was absolutely willing to stay late to accommodate my needs. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO GLAD THAT I TOOK A CHANCE!!!! No one else will ever do ink on my body, ever, ever again. He took his time that night, even though I know I kept him late. He did BEAUTIFUL work, and I was, and still am, incredibly happy with that tattoo. It was also UNBELIEVABLY priced. I was SHOCKED at the low price for such QUALITY, BEAUTIFUL ART. And, not one day goes by that I do not get a compliment, if not more than one, on this tattoo. The color on it is deep and pure, and it has more pigment than any tattoo I have ever gotten or seen on anyone else. I was so lucky I called this shop and Mike Thurman entered my life and became my artist for life. I have since gotten two other tattoos from this genus artist, and I am thrilled with all of them, the most recent being on my birthday, Monday, August 16th, 2011. Mr. Thurman's day off. He was happy to come in and work for me on his day off. And, as always, his prices and quality of work are unmatched. The shop is also IMMACULATELY CLEAN, and you could preform surgery on the floor. Cleanliness and health are extremely important to Mike and his staff. They are all very concerned with the happiness of their clients, and if you are not 150% satisfied, they will make it so you are. All of these disparaging comments about Stay True are from some hater loser, because they are on every tattoo shop in OKC except one - and I won't be as much of a loser as this guy and call that shop out. However, do some research and you will see. Or, just go see Mike, and you will have your mind changed. If you want ART that will last forever, at an UNBELIEVABLE PRICE, go see Mike at Stay True Tattoo. You will NEVER regret it - unless you get someone's name on your butt. That's your fault though. ;)
