Review content:
On the night of Wednesday September 15, 2010, my husband and I went to Benihana in Ontario, CA. The reason why I am writing this is to warn others to not have David as your chef. David does not deserve the title of ?chef?, instead he should be placed back in the kitchen to prep. Our night was incredible until this poor excuse of a ?chef? came to the table. He started out by mumbling his introduction and showing the table that he has zero personality at all. It was a huge disappointment considering there were a total of three birthdays at the table, myself included.
My husband and I have been there multiple times before and we absolutely love the fried rice. We have learned our lesson in the past that we need to have extra to take home, so this time we ordered a second cup of fried rice. Unfortunately, it was another chance for David to cook up a disappointment. We both received a cup and a half of fried rice, rather than two whole servings. In fact, the other four people who ordered fried rice got ripped off too. This one loud mouth at the end of the table, who did not order fried rice, ended up getting three times more rice than anyone else. Even the people who were sitting next to us were upset.
Throughout the time David was at the table he did two acts that were half-assed: the steaming onion and the flipping of the leftovers into his hat. Wow? He also did another ?trick? ? give special treatment to those who spoke Spanish to him.
If you go to Benihana in Ontario, CA, and see a ?chef? named David coming to your table ask to be relocated. If you do not speak up, then you are in for a night of disappointment and frustration as you look at the other tables that are laughing and having fun. Who knows, but if you speak Spanish to him then maybe you will get a better time and more food from him?
