Watch out for these people and consider your deposit a gift, never to be seen again. Either shifty business people, or very poor bookkeeping here. Consider my experience with them: I am a homeowner in another state, and I rented my house out so I could move to Texas and attend school. I know how important it is to keep a place in good condition, pay on time, etc.. To begin, I paid a 1st & last month's rent & deposit of $750. I paid on time EVERY month, always kept the grounds cut, watered, fertilized, re-seeded, etc... I made sure batteries were replaced, filters changed, lightbulbs working, etc.. Never had a problem. Until, that is, I moved out. I gave my notice by mail and in person with a follow-up phone call. They told me they got my notice and emailed me a list of things to do on move out. I did all the things on the list and more. A week into my last month I got a phone call demanding the rent. After three days and several messages left on phone machines, I got finally got a call back, and an appology. But at the end of the month, after having the carpets professionally cleaned, cleaning the house to a much higher standard than it was upon move-in (as documented on the initial inspection report), and moving out on the last day of the month, I have never heard from them again! I have left messages, sent emails and had a relative visit the office in person. I moved out the last day in May. Texas Landlord-Tenant law requires them to return my deposit funds or a ""disposition"" detailing where the funds were spent within 30 days of the end of the lease. Though I've reminded them of that fact on messages, I have never heard from them. It is now the 5th of August. Heads up, renters! I did everything right, and it looks like these people are just crooks.
