Review content:
Ordered the Appetizer Combination Plate from Pars today:
- Panir and Sabzi: Ingredients were simply thrown together in one plastic bowl. Not cut up, no dressing, nothing. Very strange. And since 80% of the dish were made up of herbs, way too overwhelming for my taste buds.
- Borani: Good, but nothing special. Had the same dish from many places for less.
- Kashke-Bademjan: Really delicious. Very smooth very rich in flavor. I almost gave three stars instead of two because of this dish. Why didn't I? Because of the bread: At 15.95 $ for an appetizer you would expect bread on the side. Nope. So I ordered some bread which totally spoiled the meal: Flat bread that tasted old/stale, the outside was hard, the inside chewy, almost inedible. A bummer too, because the Kashke-Bademjan definitely requires some bread.
I might try them again to check out one of the main entrees, but so far I'm not a fan - the quality of the food and the prices they charge just don't match up.
Two and a half stars...
