This used to be my favorite local restaurant. My husband and I celebrated many special occasions at Scalini and thought the bad food and service six months ago were only an accident. Well, we were wrong... We visited the restaurant a couple of weeks ago and left promising never to come back. What happens when you send your foie gras back because it is undercooked (ice cold center)? First you are told that is how it is supposed to be served. (Oh yeah, they tell the customer that they wrong). Then, you get back the same piece you had sent back to the kitchen, but now it is BURNED (like black burnt chunks of coal). As my husband said: ""Are we at a diner? I have never seen a restaurant cook the same piece of meat that was sent back.""
