I received a call from Nick at work and I tried to advise him that I can call back on my break but could not take the call at that time. He threated to have me fired from my job and demanded to speak with my HR. I advised him I would not transfer him to my HR and would call him back at my break. He hung up the phone. I called him back on my lunch trying to set up payments but all he wanted to do was ask me why I was ripping people off. I start to get upset and then he mentioned he was going to fornicate with my mother (which I just lost my father from a 4 year fight with brain cancer) and children and call every day until I decide to pay. At this I was so disgusted and did lose my temper. I hung and called his supervisor. I was assured that Nick would not call me back and would send a letter of apology and then I would start making payments. The apology never came and I did not pay. So he called me again last night threatening to come down and take the money from my purse. My husband had enough and took the phone and told him if he decided to come down and mug me that we would press criminal charges for the threats and harrassment. We advised him to take us to court if he wanted his money. I just started my new job and had been out of work for almost 2 years because caring for my dying father and disabled mother took so much time and I could not work. I had completely forgotten about the loan after I lost my job and it was a simple mistake and I would have tried to work out arrangements but I was out of work. Nick is disgusting and obscene in his collection pratices and it is illegal. You can stop collection calls by filing out appropriate forms that you can get from your local post office. The forms arePS3800 and PS3811 and send it certified with a signature requirement and they have to by law stop calling. It is a part of the fair debto collection practices. Cons: Illegal practices
