Review content:
I got my hair done here over the weekend for a friends wedding.
First, I was unhappy because I was told it would be $40 for an up do. The bride said that was what she spent on hers, and apparently they all charged the same. This was not the case. They start up dos at $55. I went ahead with the ""do"" even though I'm on a pretty strict budget, because I couldn't very well make a last minute appointment somewhere else.
Second, the stylist who did my hair said she had 35+ years experience. This made me happy, because I thought she would have the ability to at least braid hair and make it look somewhat nice. I asked for what I thought was a pretty simple up do. I wanted a ""poof"" in front, and a braid down the side with the rest of my hair up.
Third, instead of a poof, I ended up with super teased hair (that took about 20 minutes to try and comb out later that night). It was just awful.
Once she was done with my hair, I thought it looked okay. I didn't really get a chance to look well at it, but I thought it was fine. We got to the wedding venue and I had hair pins falling out all over the place, my hair was falling down, and I found that she didn't even do anything to the back, but put it in a pony tail and hold it up with bobby pins. The braids looked awful, you couldn't even tell they were supposed to be braids.
I am and was very disappointed with this, and cannot believe I paid $55 for that crappy of a hairstyle. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone I know. One of the other girls got her hair done by the same woman, curls over the shoulder, and hers cost $60. I have had a better hair style for $40 or less, and will go to my regular stylist from now on.
