Review content:
When I moved here I immediately tried out all my nearby coffee options. Twenty-two is by FAR the best - they make a better cup of La Colombe coffee than the La Colombe coffeeshop, and they do it with a much warmer, more welcoming attitude. Its the water - the owner has an extensive filtration system in the basement. Its also the staff - the manager really knows her coffee and can make a latte or cappuccino exactly to order. Meanwhile, the owner's father was a famous photographer in baseball's golden age and his classic photos of Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb and others fill one wall; a rotating series of shows fills the other. The art is charming and sells briskly. Artists often come to sit in the cafe and talk to the owner. This makes it a great place to spend an hour or an afternoon. Pros: Great coffee, Strong local art, Service is so warm! Cons: Mediocre croissants
