Businiess name:  El Paisano Mexican Food
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
I have been in Reno for 2 months and had been looking for ethnic food - Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Mexican ... Last week someone suggested trying out El Paisano on Silverada Blvd in Sparks. I was pleasantly surprised. I had lived in Austin, Texas and found no place that resembled anything like this. I must admit I was 'groomed' by El Ray's in Milwaukee (check it out if your are there) where the soups are hearty and the tacos and burritos good. But here in El Paisano I found both. They have ourstanding pozole (hominy with pork soup) daily and among the meats for tacos and burrito was lengua or beef tongue. There is a free salad bar and when I asked for helipino peppers they roasted a couple for me. Prices are very reasonable. I would give this the best fast food Mexican in town. They have another branch on 1290 E Plumb Lane near Costco. Better atmosphere and just as good. Try it out.
