Review content:
Do not join this gym! They will rip you off! When I went to Gold's, I informed the Gold?s Gym representative that I only wanted to sign up for a single month since I was ~8 months pregnant at the time. I simply wanted to use the recumbent bike the last month of my pregnancy. I also informed him that I obviously wouldn?t be able to exercise for several weeks to months after the birth of my son. Another reason I only wanted a one month membership. I was told that my membership was good for a single month only, but it was not. I had been enrolled in a recurring monthly membership that automatically billed my credit card. I was *not* told that I would be required to cancel in writing 30 days in advance in order to stop recurring membership fees and that the cancelation letter needed to be sent by certified mail. Seriously?! This practice forces the customer to pay for at least 2 months of membership for a single month of use. I called to resolve this seeming misunderstanding, but was told that I had to take it up with their billing company, ABC Financial Services. ABC Financial told me that they were not authorized to waive fees and that I should contact Gold's Gym. Both avoided addressing my issue by blaming the other party. Looking at the reviews for this gym, it appears that this is a scam that they have been running for some time. Do not join this gym. As others have already posted, they don't care about you - just your money and will do anything to get it.
