Review content:
This rather unassuming restaurant that seems more like a bar with a sit-down food section added as an afterthought, has GREAT food. We (two adults, one 11 year-old) enjoyed every dish we had, even though we pretty much had to yell to be heard, which was the downside, (if there is one). I've never been to a bar that serves food where the food is so good. The New England Clam Chowder was thick and loaded with clams, the salad was fresh and huge, the blue cheese dressing, the pulled pork, the wings - all of the dishes were great and we took leftovers home that we ate for days, it seemed. We were too full to try dessert, but the waitress (nice and quick and responsive) stated they were as good, if not better than the rest of the (huge) menu. We've moved recently from downstate and finding good or even decent food in Albany has been a challenge at best. Appletini's makes the cut and is the only restaurant, in any price range so far, worth the money and time.
Pros: quality of food and myriad of menu choices
Cons: place is mostly a bar, kind of run-down (but fun, in it's own way). Seating section offers minimal comforts
