We have been Verizon customers for over 12 years....before they were called Verizon. We have always gone to the Verizon store on Gilman Blvd, Issaquah because it is a company store and we thought we would 'get' the best product choices, price and customer service. On two differenct occasions I went to the store and there was no one there...a rarity..usually they are packed and the wait can be over an hour. I was greeted by a cust service rep who entered my name in the queue...I thought is a tad odd since I was the only one in the store...but I waited...two people came in after me and were promptly helped before me. I asked the greeter why the other two people were called befor me...he said that sales customers have higher priority than technical service requests. After I was helped, I told the manager and she said that is not the store policy and she would talk to the employee. A week later I went to the same store with my neighbor, and the same thing hapopened again, a different customer service rep said we did not have a prioity sale and I spoke to the manager...a different person who again said that she would talk to the employee....suspicious....I went to the store this week because my son's phone, which has been dying the last four months, was finally due for an upgrade. A different store manger helped us and I told her that....I paid $50 for a new shell for the almost dead phone of my son's...we now qualified for a new phone, here is the new phone he would like to buy and I would like to be credited for the $50 since I paid for a product that did not work. The manager took my son;s phone, disappeared for awhile, and returned to say that ""The problem with your son's phone is that he entered some secret code...that's why it doesn't work."" My son and I looked at each other and I thought for a moment we were being punked....then I realized she was serious and I looked at her and replied,"" My son wants his phone to work...why would he do that?"" and then my son said, very politely, ""Why are you making this my fault, the phone just doesn't work?"" The manager was sooo put out and told my son that she could not help us....I looked at her and asked for her manager's name...and left the store...the Verizon store that I have patronized for over a decade and a compnay that I have paid $1000s over the years. My son was mad, I was pi++ed to say the least...we left without a functional phone. I said out loud to my son....let's go an see what the Costco Issaquah Verizon kiosk can do for us. Over the years, I was wrong in thinking they, Costco that is, would not be on line with all the Verizon promotions etc.....We shop at this Costco all the tiome for other things. Here is the best part, Costco has the same phones, are online to Verizon account and THEIR price on the same pone was $20 less and Costco includes the accessory pack which Verizon sells for an additional $40 AND Costco gives an extended warrenty beyond what LG gives onthe phone. We were in there and out of there with theeeeee best service. My son was so happy, he got his new phone and all the gadgets for it...which I was not going to buy at the Verizon store....I was happy for the ease of the transaction and a little mad at myself for not checking into Costco's Verizon kiosk sooner....I pride my self on great price hunting and I really blew it on Verizon. If you can go to your nearest Costco store and verify that their price is equal to or less than the Verizon store AND enjoy significanly better customer service! Cons: Inconsistant policy and rude management
