Sam Diego's is a friendly quirky place. When you walk in, you are seated and get an awesome view of the decoration. It is very authentic, with birds and bright color all around. Warm baked nacho chips and fresh salsa is brought out promptly, but do not fill up on that. I got the pulled pork ""samwich"" and it was delicious. It is a big portion of split, warm, tasty golden cornbread( the best anywhere) and it is smothered in smoky bbq pulled pork which is really juicy and good, and chili con queso, melted cheeses and tomato. It is served with fries and cole slaw served in a cute tortilla bowl. It is really good. A huge menu takes minutes to ponder, and there are so many great options. The sweet potato fries are quite good too. And my first time here I got the Pork ribs, and could not finish. And I usually don't even like them, but theirs were an exception. They were juicy and succulent. The service is friendly but a little phony, and it is very clean inside. Prices are very good. The ""samwich"" was only 7 bucks! Pros: Great food and value for quality! Cons: Phony service and slight ignorance.
