Review content:
I am not one to complain, so take this more as a warning. I brought my bridesmaid dress here for alterations and the result was almost disastrous. The dress needed the straps shortened as well as the length. When I tried it on afterward, the straps on both sides looked completely different, and the hole for my arms was made much smaller so that the dress was uncomfortable. The biggest problem was the back, which was a very open v-shape....it puckered out and looked like I had wings, no matter how I stood. The women at the shop told me it looked great and was supposed to fit this way!!! They said all the bridesmaids would have the same issue, which of course was not the case. They told me they would try to fix it, with only one day before the wedding. Obviously, I could not go down that road when they had already done such a horrible job and kept trying to say they thought it looked great - ""very flattering, makes you look thin. Looks perfect on you..."". God only knows what I would end up with! I brought the dress to my aunt, who is not technically a professional, but was able to make some adjustments that fixed the back. There was no hope for the mis-matched straps or the too-small armholes, but at least the bride never noticed the butcher job that was done to my dress.
I asked how they thought I could possibly trust them to do anything more when they had given the dress back in such bad condition (also not pressed) and initially tried to convince me that it looked perfect. I wanted a refund as their work was horrible and could not be redone satisfactorily, especially by them. Again, I am not one to complain and certainly not ask for a refund for services rendered. However, in this case it wasn't a service rendered as I had to go elsewhere to try to undo the damage inflicted by a ""professional"" that had no clue what they were doing.
