Review content:
I have lived in not-as-nice apartments in both Boston and San Francisco with less issues than Uptown Place. It takes WEEKS to get maintenance requests responded to. I've only been there for five weeks and it's been nothing but headaches -- from my entry fob not working (so I can't even get into the building) to little things breaking, like door handles. Most recently, 10 days ago, my air conditioner broke. I immediately reported it to maintenance. I have checked in on it regularly and it still has not been fixed. As we are in the middle of a heat wave (it's hitting 80 degrees today) and my apartment was 79 degrees in the middle of the night last night, I called this morning to get an update. I was told that they ordered a part on Thursday (nearly a week after I first reported the issue) and that there was nothing they could do to fix it until then. When I said that it was ridiculous it is taking this long, that it's 80 degrees outside and that I don't care if they have to go into a store and physically purchase it, he said they tried that, which I highly doubt. We live in Florida -- it can't be that difficult to get a part for an AC unit. Not only is it hot, but there's been no air circulation in there for a week and a half now and, given that I have a dog, my apartment smells. It's completely unacceptable.
