Review content:
We hired this company to do landscaping for us in March of 07. The owner came by and seemed quite nice and quite old. We asked to make sure that he didn't do the work his self. He stated he was to old todo the work. Paid a $1000.00 to get this work started. The crew so us at our house with brand new equipment ""Shovels, and racks,. After day one there wasn't much done. We asked them to come back onsite to go over the work and make sure that we where on task with our liking. Asked for Money for phase two which we gave to them. Was told they would finish by Friday. The following Monday no one shows up. I wait till the following week to call and see what is going on. Get a call back on my home # not the number I left for them to call me on stating that he had fallen and wasn't in good shape. He would be here next week. Next week he doesn't show up. He finally stops by to say he had fallen again and he could not work. We are three weeks into thhi at this point and no work since day one. Finally about 5 weeks into this the owner shows up ready to work (Not sure where his crew was at this point) find out that he no longer has a crew and he is going to finsh the job by himself. I leave a voicemail for him to call me and lets talk about this. I was not real happy that a 71 year old man is trying to take a job that he stated a crew would take 3 days to do. My concern was him falling are hurting himself on my property ( He couldn't walk up to my front door due to steps. My folwer beds are not flat and have a 4 foot drop in 6 feet). I asked my mother-in-law to tell him that we where not comfortable with this and asked him to stop work and to call me are return my money that we where not happy about this. He stated the money was spent already and he would sign a promisary note and pay me back. I called to talk with him about these arangements left 10-15 voicemails with no call backs. Basically we are out $1600.00 for phase two that he never started and never returned my $$
