I had heard so many raves about this place that I opted to take my boyfriend here for his birthday instead of P.F. Chang's. While the decor and ambience are much nicer than most of the other Chinese restaurants I've been to in Michigan, the food was not quite as good. We ordered a beef dish, a chicken dish, and shrimp fried rice. Decent, but nothing spectacular-- I've had much better food at P.F. Chang's. A big problem was the service. The service was almost too fast, and we felt like they wanted to turnover our table and get us out of there as soon as possible. The waitress started hovering almost as soon as we got there, so we hurriedly ordered our appetizer and entrees at the same time. The appetizer came immediately, which was great, but we barely had time to finish it before the entrees came. The waitress hovered around a lot but didn't speak English very well, so it was hard to talk to her and she didn't do much besides continuously refill our water and place my napkin on my chest (not on my lap) in the middle of the meal, without saying a word. Afterward we did linger for a while finishing our wine, but the meal just felt very hurried. Overall I would say it's decent, but the food wasn't all that great. Granted we only tried three dishes, so maybe there is other stuff there that's better. But they should work towards making it a more relaxing, comfortable experience and hire a wait staff that is more personable and communicates with the clientele. Pros: Nice ambience; not too expensive for all of the hype Cons: Slightly above average food; hurried service; difficulty of communicating with staff
