Review content:
Dog Spot combines dog day care, boarding and grooming at one location. I boarded my small (spoiled) dog over a weekend. My experience was generally favorable. The small dogs were kept separated from the larger dogs. All dogs were kept most of the day in an indoor fenced area with a concrete floor. They provide a Doggie Web Cam so that you can view your dog during the day. They do not provide any toys while the dogs are in the pens but they do have an attendant on duty at the pen at all times. Every couple of hours, weather permitting, they take the dogs to an outdoor exercise area. In the evening, if you are boarding your dog, they place it in a crate with any toys, treats or pads that you want to provide. My dog ""told' me that she was not happy there. When I watched her on the web cam, she was pacing back and forth for hours. This is not her normal behavior. I believe that since she was placed in a confined space with many dogs she did not know, she felt very uncomfortable. The Dog Spot reported to me that she even snapped at an attendant when he tried to take her outside. This is behavior that I have never seen from her before or after being at the Dog Spot. All in all, the Dog Spot's approach is probably better than a kennel where the dog is crated 100% of the time, but my dog is much happier at home curled up on her silk covered pillow.
Pros: Dogs are not crated all day and are separated by size
Cons: Fenced in area with concrete floors with nothing to do.
