Review content:
I went in for a $19 oil change and two hours later they finally called me to the desk to let me know I needed $700 worth of brake work. What they didn't know was I had just had the brakes checked by my usual mechanic one month before and knew they were getting close to needing replaced. I played along to see where it would go. They went on and on about how unsafe the car was and I was ""down to the metal"" and how ""I wouldn't put my kids in that car"". I was so mad about the two hour oil change that I told them to please put the wheels back on so I could leave. While I was waiting on my car (another 30 minutes, by the way!) I heard them give essentially the same pitch to three other people who had come in for an oil change. One was a coolant leak that they claimed required a new water pump...for a cool $800!
