Review content:
I planned a surprise overnight stay for my husband's birthday in January 2012. The website looked fun, and I purchased the Valentine's Special to add to our special evening.
Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty place and has a neat vibe when you first walk in. However, overall I was pretty disappointed in our experience for the amount I paid. The flower petals were fake (which I could have purchased myself) and the candles were cheap-looking and battery operated. Upon arriving in our room, we opened a cabinet to find three empty condom boxes.
Ew.
Needless to say we inspected the rest of the room for ""ickies"" but it was fairly clean otherwise. But I couldn't help but feel a little gross sleeping on that bed afterwards. ha! And whoever said that the hotel is ""worlds away"" from the airport is a little off...we found the nearby runway very distracting. We ordered a room service breakfast, which was great. Lots of food and tasted great.
We won't use Hotel Preston again, simply because I don't fee you are getting what you pay for. It's a fun concept, though!
