Review content:
My experience with Sue Kim Custom Dress Maker gets NO stars in my book. I took my daughter's prom dress there for alterations (hemming) and for the dress to get to get any wrinkles out. I know for a FACT the dress was pristine because the first dress we got from the boutique had marks on it and they promptly replaced it. Prior to leaving the store, both myself and the own covered every square inch of it. I was definitely not leaving if the dress was not perfect. It had not been touched after leaving the store until we took it into Sue Kim to be hemmed. My daughter put it on and Sue Kim hemmed it. We looked at and said ok, the length is fine. Back into the bag it went. A week or so later when we came to pick the dress back up, I asked my daugher to try the dress on to make sure the hem was ok. I couldn't believe my eyes! There were stains all over the dress. One the size of a half dollar and then other marks that looked like something was sprayed on it. When I confronted her with the issue she not only lied and said she discussed the fact that the stains were already on there. Then when I told her that was not because I thoroughly inpsected the dress before brining it in she then said that the seamstress brought it to her attention. I asked if that was the case then I should have gotten a phone call saying there was something was wrong prior to having done any alterations.... then, when that didn't work, she blamed the fabric. Seriously??? 1 week before the prom. She got tired of discussing it with me and then said to take the dress without charging me and walked away like I evaporated and started hemming someone elses pants. Seriously???? A free dress hem does not fix a $350 prom dress that her company stained! I don't want anything from her. I just want to warn others who have valuable items and are considering using her.... STAY AWAY! Not only did she ruin the dress, but she was a RUDE business owner! Hope this review saves someone else the trouble I went through!
