Review content:
We had the pleasure of dining at the new Franco's this past weekend. The service was exceptional - Sam was our server. The food was from another dimension and as good as we remember. The stuffed banana peppers appetizer was unreal, with super hot peppers and a delicious creamy sausage stuffing. We also had mussels, steamed to perfection. Our entrees were excellent - we asked our server for some recommendations as the menu had changed since our last visit. Perfect on every level.
The atmosphere is the only thing that seems to have changed....the old restaurant seemed more upscale and the new place is more like the Olive Garden inside. A dress code could remedy this easily. The table of three next to us consisted of baseball caps, jeans, and t-shirts. I don't know any restaurant where hats are appropriate. A family of four across the room was dressed in shorts and flip-flops and the kids looked like they just came in from an afternoon of play.
Fortunately, the outstanding meal and service made up for the bad etiquette of our fellow diners. Will be back ASAP!
