Who would have thought a normal person can take a ride 1/2 mile down under the Earth's surface in a real mantrip coal car in a real coal mine and see what miners face everyday 12hours a day? What a unique experience. Everyone is so friendly and there are no lines or waiting. Alot to see, mine museum, antiques, etc. The mine tour was very interesting and the guide is a real coal miner. Who by the way, was extremely funny and entertaining. I would reccomend to anyone including families with children 5 and up. Plenty of education and heritage. Underground tour time about 30-40 minutes. Take a jacket for underground. Felt safe the whole time. Highly recommend. Neat things at their souveneir shop. Pros: Unique western Pa mine. Great educational experience. Cons: slightly chilly underground but a jacket or sweatshirt takes care of that
