We bought a European model Smart Car from Ferrante Motors in 2006 based on the promise that they would be able to provide both parts and service. Unfortunately it turned out that they were simply lying in order to fleece us out of $25,000. They are incapable of providing parts, and we have spent thousands of dollars importing parts from Germany, the UK, and Canada. And they are also incapable of providing service; I don't even believe that they have a Smart certified mechanic. After four years of complaining to them, they finally told us to contact the original importer who ""might help you, if they feel like it."" The car that these con artists sold us had a problem with starting that developed within several months of buying the car. We currently own an incredibly expensive completely broken car that cannot be serviced anywhere closer than Colorado, and Ferrante completely refuses to help or to discuss restitution. In short: If you buy a car from these liers you will be on your own.
