I was told by Property Manager that signing a lease and giving a full deposit and pet deposit would reserve a 1st floor apt. I did just that, then two months later I'm told I have to live on the 3rd floor in another apt because someone else needed to move in before me and the apt I had already signed a lease for was their only apt vacant. Now the Property Manager says I have to either live in whatever they have left over or I'll have to find someone to sublet my lease and forfeit my $400 deposit. How is it I'm the one breaking the leasing agreement when I'm perfectly willing to move into the apt I signed a lease for? When looking over the lease later, I saw that the Property Manager had even gone as far as to manipulate the lease I signed after I had already signed it. Can we say illegal? As of now, I have had to hire legal representation and plan to reside at any apartment complex other than Limestone Square Apartments or Cowgill Properties.
Pros: Close to Campus; close to gas station; on-site coin laundry
Cons: No AC for 8 of 12 month lease; hardly ever parking; 1 key copy for 3 bedroom apt; move-in day maintenence issues never resolved; constant construction and helicopter noise
