Review content:
I played this course in December 2006. This is one of the only courses in the area that overseed fairways in the winter with rye grass. Tees were in good shape as well as the greens. Club house facilities are very good. I have played this course 10 to 20 times over the last several years and have always enjoyed the layout and the challenge of it. BUT one thing has been consistant over the years. The maintenance crew does NOT know how to maintain sand traps! I have consistantly encountered traps that had almost no sand making playing a normal sand shot almost impossible. The most common result is skulling the shot over the green. After playing, I talked to a man in the Pro Shop would appeared to be the pro or assistant pro about the condition of the sand traps. He was unable to explain why the traps were so short on sand but acknowledged that it had been a problem for a long time. This is OBVIOUSLY the only major shortcoming with this course but NOBODY HAS FIXED THE ONGOING PROBLEM. So if you can be sure to avoid the sand traps, you will enjoy this course, BUT don't get in one. You will experience the bare dirt bunker shot that I have experienced for the LAST TIME. Pros: Greens, layout, challenge Cons: Sand traps are DIRT (sandless) traps
