Review content:
I purchased a carseat at Gail's Resales yesterday afternoon. I wrote a check for it and left it with the cashier. The carseat still needed to be sanitized and I was in a hurry, so I agreed to return to the store to pick up the car seat after it had been sanitized. I was told that the store hours were normally 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but that the store would be open until 6:00 p.m. this particular day, and that my husband or I were welcome to come and pick up the car seat anytime between 5:00 and 6:00 that evening. It is a 15-minute drive one-way from our house to the store. My husband arrived at the store at 5:24 p.m. to find that it was closed, the lights were off, no one was at the store, and the door was locked. I know what time he was there because I had the record on my cell phone from when he called to tell me that the store was already closed. I called the store the next morning around 11:00, and after several tries, finally spoke to the cashier who had sold me the car seat. She was very rude. She said that we were lying, that my husband was not at the store at 5:24, because she waited on customers until 5:30, but admitted that she left the store at 5:40. She then transferred me to the owner of the store, who was even more rude. She told me that the store's hours were 10:00 - 5:00. I said that I was aware of that, and would have had no problem at all coming back the next day during those hours. The only reason we came back when we did was because the cashier had told us to do so, and assured us that they would be open until 6:00. The owner then told me that I was lying, and that the cashier had not told me that they would be open until 6:00, only that she was thinking about staying open a little bit later that day. Finally, the owner angrily asked what I wanted her to do about it. I told her that I would expect some kind of discount on the car seat for having to make an extra trip back to the store. She agreed. A few minutes later she called our house. She must have gotten the phone number off of my check. My husband answered the phone and she told him who she was, and that she had just spoken to me. She then told him that they were going to rip up my check, and that we needed to go buy our carseat somewhere else, and hung up on him. I will never deal with this business again, and recommend that everyone else do the same. Cons: rude
