Review content:
Want a new avenue of thought on Sunday? I visited the Kanzean Zen Center last Sunday, not having a CLUE as to what to expect. The zen center is a quaint lil' house that's been remodeled. You are welcomed by very nice people and invited to sit upsairs, barefoot, on a pillow and mat. The first 30 minutes are spent in quiet meditation, then one of the Roshi's speaks. Therer was a group of about 50-60 people. It was very serene and calm. The Genpo Roshi Abbott was an excellent teacher, very engaging, and the group was very involved in the disucussion. I left feeling very ""in-tune"" with myself and very impressed at the atmosphere, the lesson, the people, and the entire experience. I loved it. I've been Mormon for most of my life, and I feel like this was far more ""spiritual"" than any of the sacrament meetings I've ever been to.
Pros: Inviting, enlightening, accepting, excellent discussion/instruction
