Review content:
My husband and I went to the Water Grill to celebrate his 30th birthday. We had a great time and had great service, but we left feeling like there wasn't any one thing that was exceptional. At a restaurant like this, we were expecting something to make us go ""wow."" I am not a fish/seafood eater, but my husband is. I asked my server if she could recommend anything that wasn't too fishy/seafoody because I was willing to be adventurous. She recommended the John Dory, and I actually liked it! My husband had the scallops and said although they were good, they were a tad overcooked. The portions seemed a bit small for their price. The bread was hard and tasteless. We shared the chocolate brioche pudding and loved it. Would I go back? Maybe, but with all the fantastic places here in LA, I'd rather explore something else. Pros: Affordable Parking, Attentive Service, Good Menu Selection Cons: Very expensive
