Review content:
My wife and I recently spent the night in one of the classic cabins at Five Pine to give ourselves a bit of a treat; and what a treat it was. The spa that is on site- Shibui, was having an open house so my Wife and I got to sip on glasses of wine and walk through the different areas of the spa where attendants were doing demonstrations of some of the different services they offer. I haven?t been to many spas but Shibui seemed very welcoming, elegant, and peaceful. After our tour of the spa we headed over to Five Pine?s main lodge for their nightly wine reception. The front desk attendant/barkeeper was friendly and pleasant; and so we had some more wine :) and admired the beautiful woodworking and photographs in the lobby. Next we went over to the restaurant Thyme for dinner. The menu had excellent variety and creativity in a simple yet stylish setting, we both loved our orders. On our way back to our room we borrowed a DVD from the collection in the lobby to watch in our room. The rooms themselves were amazing, everything was clean and of great quality. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub; and the bathtub was big enough for two people and had doors which opened so that the TV could be seen. The next morning we went for a bike ride out on the trails behind the lodge; the trails were fun without being overly difficult. When we were done checking out we decided to grab lunch at the brewery. It was the perfect end to a wonderful stay. My only two regrets was not having enough time to go to a movie at the theater that?s next door, or to ride into Sister?s (it?s definitely an easy bike ride or walk). I guess next time we?ll have to stay more than one night. :)
