Review content:
This is my first experience with GVSG. I called on a Thursday afternoon to see if my 16 yr old son's bow was finished. He had dropped it off to be restrung and it was supposed to be done by Monday, which was now 3 days ago. When GVSG answered the phone, I stated that I was calling to see if my son's bow was done. I was promptly put on hold. The gentleman came back on and said that UPS hadn't been there yet today and that it wasn't in yet. This answer came before asking for a name or any details about the bow. I proceeded to tell the gentleman that it was there to be re-strung and that it wouldn't be coming in from UPS. He then said ""oh, what kind of bow is it?"" Well just so happens, I have no idea because it was just given to us by a friend. So I tell him our last name. And he again asks ""what kind of bow it is?"" as if he can't find the order. I again explain that I do not know. (Perhaps I should have, but one would think they could look up an order with a name or phone number). Then the light bulb comes on and he says ""Oh yeah I called and left a message on this one asking if you wanted an upgraded string that we have in stock or if we wanted the midrange string ordered."" My son is supposed to go hunting tomorrow...and we did not get the message that he says he left. He continues to refer to the message we did not receive. Then gets pissy with me telling me not to shout at him - which I was not doing. However, by this time, yes my tone of voice had changed as I was NOT happy. I explained again that we did not get the message and that I had no idea what this message said. I just needed to know what the price and quality difference and we could go from there. He was extremely RUDE to me and his customer service skills were non-existent. Apparently they think they do not have any competition and can treat customers however they choose. I will say this much, after this transaction is complete, I will NOT be doing business with Grand Valley Sporting Goods again! Thanks, but no thanks.
