Review content:
I purchased a skein of yarn from a yarn store, the Knitty Cat, 7475 East Arapahoe Road #9, Centennial, CO 80112. Less than an hour later, I decided the price was too high. When I returned to the store, it was closed and did not open again until today, Tuesday, December 4, 2012. I returned to the store, asked for a refund. Quite rudely, she said that she did not give refunds, just exchanges. She stated that her signage clearly said this, but the sign did not. It stated that yarn purchased thirty days earlier could be not be exchanged, but not a word about refunds. When I brought this to her attention, she merely smiled, and told me that there was no way that she would give me my money back. Her exact words were, ""I will not give you a refund and I am done with you. Get out!"" She acted as though she wanted to spit on me. I had no recourse but to leave. I detected hostility from her stemming from the fact that I am African-American and she is white. She treated me as though I was a slave and she was the master. I was in no way threatening or rude, and find her manner reprehensible. If you are a minority, you might want to shop elsewhere.
