Review content:
My wife and I visited SURF on the recommendation from a friend who raved about a Tuna and wasabi mashed potato dish. Called the restaurant to make a reservation and was told they only accept them for parties of 7 or more, but to arrive around 7:30pm (between their early crowd and late crowd and we should get seated no problem). We arrived at 7:30pm and were told that there was a 45 - 60 minute wait, which actually was 20 minutes. Specialty drinks, very pricey, other spirits were about standard price. The food was very reasonably priced, I would not say expensive by any stretch, especially in Nashua, NH. The few patrons that we talked to were from the metro Boston area and the lakes region of NH. The restaurant and was very unique, and not the typical dining that would normally be found in Nashua. This is not your typical seafood restaurant, excluding the raw bar, with interesting dishes and pairings of ingredients and sides. For apps. we had mussels from the menu and ahi tuna from the raw bar, both very good. Entrees were a tuna dish and a swordfish dish that were both cooked perfectly. Desert was a small piece of a dense flourless chocolate cake, that wasn't particularly memorable, but who cares at a seafood restaurant. All said, the food was good, the atmosphere was outdated and a bit of a Jersey Shore/Boca Raton mix that needed help.
