Review content:
I would pass by Oasis Healing Arts when I'd go to the movie theaters in uptown Whittier and finally stopped in last year to make an appointment. I had Tami the first time - she was just the friendliest, coolest, down-to-earth massage therapist I've ever met. Worked out every single kink in my body, very very thorough and relaxing. About a month later I returned and had Belen. Another sweet therapist, heavier-handed than Tami, but I was needing some deep tissue work so it was perfect. It was that sweet pain - firm and hurts so good but not too much that I couldn't enjoy it. I had her work on me an extra 30 minutes because an hr just wasn't enough (it takes me a while to really relax and sink into it). Recently I went there again and had Jan, their newest therapist. She's totally different but equally as great. She did a lot of acupressure work - very ""knowing"" hands, gentle yet strong. Genuinely surprised that I enjoyed every single one of my massages there - better than burke williams and other spas, at least in my experience. I was reminded about what a GEM this place is, right here in Whittier.
The vibe there is just so relaxing, so cool, so fresh. The owner, Jamie, and all the ladies working there must all be in their early 30s- so there's a hip, fresh energy yet very professional and ultra-peaceful. Soooo not a white-washed clinic and sooo not a snobby expensive spa. Really cool. I'll have to go back and try the acupuncture.
Pros: The BEST massages I've ever received, and SO AFFORDABLE!
