I was highly disappointed with the quality of workmanship that my dress received. A friend recommended Alterations by Sarah so I figured I would try it out with a bridesmaid dress. When I brought the dress in the lady that initially helped me was clueless. My dress was huge on me so I figured it would be obvious as to what needed to be done (shorten the length and bring the sides in so the dress would stay up- it is strapless) but she had no idea of what to do. When I went in the second time they were going to hand me the dress to pay for without trying it on- which I then suggested and I'm glad I did! They took too much off the length and the top was at least two inches away from my chest. So they took it back again. When I went in the next time they had sewn a part of the dress on the inside to the wrong side. Seriously?! They quickly fixed that. However, the quality of the hem looks like a first grader did it and the price was OUTRAGEOUS for how many mistakes they made. I'm all about paying for quality but this place lacked it. Never again and I would not recommend them. The only positive thing I can say about the place was the lady who helped me the last two times when I went in was very nice- that's it!
