Review content:
With a new owner, this shop has gorgeous colors and fun fibers from angora to yak. I was inspired to purchase a hank of lovely custom handpainted boucle to make a scarf for next winter. This week I also came away with directions to make a belt, sale yarn, and enough sunshine to last until spring. The owner wound my boucle and I carried it all home in my suitcase as a nice souvenir. The shop has needles and other knitting supplies, so if your skiing plans don't work out completely the way you planned, you can make other arrangements to fill your vacation hours. Something for every level of knitter, as well as the owner's own designs. Worth the climb up the stairs , although there's also an elevator. In the center of Aspen. Pros: Ambience; small yarn store in center of Aspen Cons: No morning shop hours in winter; I was not driving, but easy walking distance in Aspen and good shuttle bus service from other Aspen resorts
