Review content:
When we moved to CO, we were concerned because our dog had been cared for by family members when we travelled. We looked at many dog boarding facilities before choosing Happy Trails for our Labrador, Carl. We did a drop-in, unannounced visit to Happy Trails before considering using the facility. The staff took us through the entire facility immediately, which we found to be spotless, cheerful, and exceptionally well maintained. Vaccination records are kept for every pet to ensure that they are up-to-date. The outdoor play area was very clean, tended by a staff member, and had water, toys, and both sunny and shady areas. Dogs are separated by size and temperament, so the play groups are very peaceful and every dog feels comforatable. The spacious indoor kennels have beds, and they are air-conditioned in the summer and heated in the cooler weather.
We took Carl for his first visit, which was a daycare arrangement so that he could get used to the facility. We were able to watch him on cameras the entire time he was there, and he had a wonderful time. We took him for a couple more day visits before we used Happy Trails for boarding. I can tell you that our dog LOVES to go to Happy Trails!! He absolutely cannot wait to get in there. When we drop him off, and the attendant comes out to take him to the play area, he runs to her and never glances backward. We are so happy that our dog has such a good time while we are on vacation.
In addition, we are able to watch our dog on camera both in the open play area and in the kennel at night. He is always well cared for - they even have a pool outside in warm weather, which is a Labrador's dream.
Finally, I would like to say that I was distressed that someone posted in a review that there were complaints against this facility filed with the City of Loveland. I called the City of Loveland myself and was told that NOT ONE complaint has been filed against this fine facility since it opened. The City of Loveland asked me if I would please state this in my review, which I am doing.
If you are looking for a first rate facility for your dog that is run by professional and caring personnel, you will not find one that is better than Happy Trails in Loveland.
