Hi Christine - This indeed was a HORRIBLE situation & we were certainly extremely disapointed with the property owner & felt/feel terrible for how this all turned out! I wish we had another home that would have suited your needs, but just didn't. I (Kim) was responsible for the property, and had a relationship with the property owner - Dawn did me a favor by showing you the property as it was near her home. After your husband brought your application & deposit monies to our office, we sent your application to the screening company for it to be processed- the screening process typically takes about 48 hours. As soon as we got approval from the screening company, I called you to let you know and to find out the exact date of your desired move in. After our conversation, I called the property owner to let him know that we had rented his home, & was informed that he was allowing a friend to move into the property... It was as if the sky fell. I was not at all happy, voiced my extreme displeasure, and asked why I hadn't been told - I was told he had been very busy & was going to call me. We immediately sent back your deposit check, and subsequently had the property owner reimburse your application fee. Again, as before, we are so very, very sorry. We will not be available to manage that home in the future.
