I will never take my little dog back to that place again. When I picked him he had a huge gash on his head. It was so bad I had to take him to the vet to make sure it didn't become infected.Paws and claws tried telling me it was because he had loose skin.I asked the vet about this and he said lots of dogs have loose skin and he has seen poodles with skin so flabby you could grab the neck and pull it around their face.My little dogs skin isn't even that loose even though it is saggy. My advice from the vet was to find a new groomer and I did.I took my dog somewhere else to try and fix the botched up hair job and to help hide his injury and guess what no cuts he looked wonderful and they said they had no trouble at all grooming him.According to them you have to be experienced at grooming a poodle because they have thick cottony hair that grabs and the skin needs to be pulled tout while using clippers to prevent injury . Grooming a poodle is much different than grooming other dogs.Obviously Paws and Claws didn't know what they were doing. His skin was completely peeled back from the top of his head and now he shivers and cries every time we get to a groomers parking lot.If another groomer cut his hair with no problem why couldn't they?I will NEVER go back there and anyone who has a dog with loose skin shouldn't either unless they want a dog without ears and toes.
