Wow, I cannot believe the bad reviews. The problem is people take more time to write about bad experiences while good experiences arent accounted for. This is a hole in the wall kind of place, out of the way, few renovations. HOWEVER, the food is EXcellent. I have NEVER needed to season mine with any spices or hot sauce whatsoever. The guys that run the place are great people. The part time servers are nice women. The prices are more than fair. At least a couple of times a month a group of us go after work and have good, well priced food and drinks. I love this place. I have been coming to El Puerto for 10 years now. If you want a real, authentic, tasty mexican dish and perhaps a corona or a nice wine margarita this is the place to go. Pros: excellent cooking, great prices, easy access Cons: beer and wine only, minor renovation might be nice
